Definition of Vertical Nystagmus

Nystagmus or the rapid involuntary movement of a person's eye is common for some people, although it is generally undetected. Certain diseases or substances may increase the intensity of nystagmus. Vertical nystagmust is the rapid movement of the eye up and down, and it is generally caused by a congenital condition.
