Definition of Urine Test

A urine test may be one chemical testing option for drivers who have been stopped for driving under the influence. Chemical tests can also include testing a driver's blood or breath. Urine tests are arguably the least reliable test but are frequently used if the driver is under the influence of drugs.

Drivers who refuse to submit to a chemical test of their blood, urine, or breath, when asked to do so by a law enforcement officer, may face an administrative license suspension in addition to criminal charges.
