What does Tortfeasor mean?

A tortfeasor is the person who commits the tort. Torts can include any type of civil wrong but most commonly refer to civil wrongs committed by the defendant. Plaintiffs who feel they have been injured or wronged by a tortfeasor and this injury has caused them loss or damage to personal property, may file a personal injury claim against the tortfeasor and attempt to win damages. If you have been injured due to the negligence of another person, contact a personal injury lawyer.
