Definition of Rules of Evidence

Rules of evidence were enacted by the Federal government in 1975 with subsequent updates and amendments. Rules of evidence provide guidelines for the admission of facts for both the plaintiff and the defendant in the U.S. Federal court system and how they may prove their case.
