Definition of Deposition

A deposition is a statement made under oath by a person when questioned by an car accident attorney. A deposition is used to collect testimony prior to the trial to prepare for a car accident case. Depositions may be used at trial. Depositions for a civil claim will be done in the Discovery phase of the process.
