What does Contempt of Court mean?

Contempt of court can include any action that interferes or obstructs the court and their attempt to administrate justice. Contempt of court can be civil contempt which is a person's failure to comply with court orders or criminal contempt which can include any disrespectful action which interferes with the court administration of justice. Civil and criminal contempt charges can both result in fines or imprisonment.
