Definition of Arbitration

Arbitration is one type of alternative dispute resolution and may allow car accident plaintiffs to settle their car accident claims without fighting it out in court. Arbitration is similar to mediation. It allows each party to present their case to a third party who is acting as a judge. The arbiter provides a neutral, third party resolution which the parties to the conflict can accept or they can appeal if they do not agree with the decision.
